Nottingham Arena is delighted to welcome His Holiness The Dalai Lama for five days of public talks and teachings between Saturday 24th and Wednesday 28th May 2008.
Thousands of people from all over the globe are expected to flock to the region to see one of the world’s most inspiring spiritual teachers deliver an exciting teaching programme.
One of the reasons Nottingham was chosen to host this event was because of the city's Green Charter and it's commitment throughout all levels of the council to tackle issues of sustainability.
Nottingham is a historical and vibrant city located in the centre of England with excellent transport links it is one of the most accessible cities in the country via the M1 motorway, East Midlands Airport and with Nottingham Train Station just 5 minutes walk from the venue we are very well connected. Once you arrive in Nottingham there is a fantastic tram and bus network to help you get around and see the city's sights and by using these alternative forms of transport you will help support our effort to reduce the events carbon footprint. ► Read more
